Meet our Headteacher

In April 2011 Mrs Susannah Daniel was appointed as Headteacher
for All Saints Junior School on Brownlow Road by CfBT Education Trust and the All Saints
Action Group (ASAG) – the proposers behind the innovative new
school.
A former headteacher in inner-city London schools, Mrs Daniel
impressed proposers with her enthusiasm and drive to
develop All Saints Free School in collaboration with the
local community as a centre for educational excellence in which all
children will learn and thrive.
Wendy Woodcock, Director of Schools and Nurseries at CfBT
Education Trust said:
“We were all impressed with Mrs
Daniel’s enthusiasm for the role and her track record in delivering
excellent education in collaboration with a school’s community. I
have no doubt that her experience and expertise will ensure
Reading’s first Free School is a success and I am delighted to be
working with her to make this happen.”
With almost 20 years’ teaching experience, Mrs Daniel started
working with CfBT and ASAG in April to develop plans for the school
including working with parents and the wider community on
developing the curriculum and proposals for the school’s temporary
and permanent accommodation.
“I am extremely excited about this
new role and the amazing opportunity it gives me, the parents, the
proposers and the west Reading community to build a school from
scratch. We are in the very fortunate position of being able to
create the kind of school we know we want and will work and I know
we can make this a success for the children who are going to make
up our school community. I can't wait for the new term to start
and the official opening of All Saints Junior School
Reading!” said Mrs Daniel.
Mrs Daniel lives in Windsor with her three children. She is a
keen sportswoman and manages the Windsor Under-7s rugby team as
well as playing netball herself. Mrs Daniel has also worked as a
volunteer for the charity Reach to Teach which builds schools in
rural parts of India.
